Vintage-inspired button-front dress

Hello everyone! I hope everyone is enjoying this super warm Memorial Day with family and friends! I know I’ve really enjoyed this nice three-day weekend catching up on tasks around the place and laying out by the pool. I definitely will be dreading going back to work tomorrow.

Ever since the ‘70s-inspired style appeared on Spring 2015 runways, it seems no wardrobe is complete without some repetition of this trend.

J. Crew has recently put out a new set of arrivals for Spring. Tons of super cute stuff I need in my closet, but for now this one dress will do. When I first saw this online I knew I had to buy it, like everything else I see. This item is not available in stores as of yet, but from pictures I already can tell that I will love this piece. I ordered my normal size in dresses and skirts in J. Crew, 00P and also chose the petite option for a shorter length. There is almost 3″ length wise of a difference which makes a HUGE difference for us petite ladies. This is also available in a white denim as well.

This Button-front dress is a very stretchy denim with a defined waist and a front slit for a super-flattering shape. When first looking at this dress I was thinking it would be a stiff denim, but it is very comfortable and an overall good quality dress. I love how this piece is something that could be carried into the fall with putting a shirt underneath and creating a new look.
