Ikat Woven Shorts

..and the weather is only going to get hotter.
The perfect Spring/Summer shorts for dressing up or down. Not only is this a great print for shorts, but it also comes in the same pattern in their perfect shirts. You can either wear them together, which has been a popular style or separate.

A few ideas I had for the shorts are: plain white sleeveless button up or a striped sleeveless button up, showed below.

The shorts have a 4″ inseam, which is an inch longer than what I normally wear, but still overall a great short and the fabric is super soft. The shorts run true to size, but the waist is a little large. Unfortunately, there are no belt loops on the shorts which means it could be fixed by having a shirt tucked in or getting them slightly altered. This top is a classic button up with a little twist. It does run a little longer than normal tops, but still works perfectly with shorts tucked in or with white denim.

My go to classic shorts are listed here, 3″ solid chinos. They are currently running a promo on them and some are already on sale with an additional discount. From my past purchases these shorts run TTS and they have belt loops (which can always be a plus). There are two colors that I am loving in particular this summer: lemon wedge short and the chrome green short.
