October is here and that means, fall festivals, pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin bread, roasting marshmallows by the fire pit and yummy apple cider! *YES* Can’t wait. Below I have found some fun festivals to attend here in Nashville and one of my personal favorites in Kentucky: 

  1. Fall into Autumn at Cheekwood Harvest Until
    • October 29, hours (9 a.m.-5 p.m.)
    • Cheekwood: 1200 Forrest Park Drive
    • Pick a pumpkin and walk and enjoy the seasonal decorations
  2. Taste Fall Brews at TailGate Beer’s Pumpkinfest
    • Sunday, October 1 at 12:00
    • Tailgate Beer: 7300 Charlotte Pike
    • Pumpkin lovers rejoice! TailGate Beer will be serving up over 25 versions of pumpkin brews
    • Free event
  3. Catch a Spooky Flick While Sipping Suds at Tailgate Beer
    • Friday, October 6 at 7:00 p.m.
    • TailGate Beer: 7300 Charlotte Pike
    • Getting into the Halloween spirit by featuring movies and specials every Friday evening throughout the month of October
  4. Dress up your Pup at the Halloween Pooch Parade
    • Saturday, October 21 at 11:00 a.m.
    • Cheekwood: 1200 Forrest Park Drive
    • Dress up your fur baby and join in on the festivities at Cheekwood’s annual Pooch Parade
    • Cost:  $20
  5. Watch Festive Favorite on Fall Movie Night
    • Friday, October 27 at 6:00 p.m.
    • The Old School Farm to Table: 5022 Old Hydes Ferry Pike
    • An evening of Halloween flicks, sweet treats and drinks!
    • Free Event
  6. Welcome the Great Pumpkin at Pumpkinfest
    • Saturday, October 28 at 10:00 a.m.
    • Main Street, Franklin, TN
    • The family-friendly festival stretches along Main Steet and its avenues in downtown Franklin and includes the Great Pumpkin on the Public Square, costume contests and extreme pumpkin carving.
  7. Jackson’s Orchard
    • Anytime now until when it starts getting cold
    • 8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
    • Address: 1280 Slim Island Rd., Bowling Green, KY
    • They have the best apple cider, jams, and pumpkin bread!

Also, let me just tell you all about this sweater. It’s so soft and comfy, also not to mention the color is stunning. When I first saw this sweater, I was instantly drawn to it. This feels like you are wrapped up in your favorite blanket all day. This is a compliments item when I wore this last week, everyone who saw it, had to have it and needed to know where to get it. This compares to a similar cardigan from Free People but is by no means compares in quality and price.

For reference, I am 5’4″ and usually a little leery of buying the longer cardigans because of length, but it fits great.
